Waiting Bricolage: Propositional Research, 2023


The bricolage is an isometric drawing that develop the objects and moments to question the idea of “room”, an independent space inside of house/building destined for particular activity. The drawing referenced scenographical interpretation to highlight the division of rooms.

In the drawing, spaces transforming into series of rooms/scene, where large part of domestic functions were associated with a piece of furniture/object. In a way the symbolic rooms in the drawings are about an interior with exterior, and vice versa. It question theexistence of metaphysical rooms, where a fictitious space is contained within a real space. 
Some objects and furniture are representations, suggesting certain domestic function, however being part of a symbolic landscape. The rooms are adaptable and portable to transform just like film sets. The division of rooms suggest the retreat of individual; the need for one’s own retreat for privacy. The use of isometric drawing provides an objective view of each rooms, forces the viewers to perceive details happening within the drawing.
